These are our wood/composite hybrid construction that accept ILF limbs.
The range of adjustment on these risers is upto 10% dependant on limbs.
There is an optional lateral adjustment as these risers but we guaranteed to be straight in the first place.
The over centre for arrow tune is an unequaled 5/16" past centre for a wood based riser.
The Covert ILF riser has improved deflex and designed to accommodate current conventional ILF limbs and create an improved platform for the higher performance HEX limbs, and super recurve designs
Border's TCS ILF wood hybrid risers combines all of the features normally found in alloy risers, strength, rigidity with the warmth and looks of exotic wood or phenolic. The Triple Composite Spines can be constructed from carbon fibre and glass or all glass complying with the new World Archery rules. Add to these the availability of full customisation and you have an unbeatable combination.
These Wood Carbon Hybrid (WCH) Triple Composite Spined risers are constructed to accept ILF limbs or can be tailored to have one adjustable limb only for tiller balance. The range of adjustment on the ILF risers is +10% - 0% with Border limbs, however this may be different when using limbs from other manufacturers. There is no provision for lateral limb adjustment as these risers are guaranteed to be straight, as are our limbs, and so unnecessary when used with straight limbs of other makes. The over centre for arrow tune is an unequaled 5/16" 0.31" or 8mm past centre for an exotic wood based riser. This range mirrors our range of Triple Composite Spined (TCS) Black Douglas risers that accept our range of bolt-down limbs.
Significant over centre 5/16" 7.9mm opens up a wider range of arrow tune options making arrow spine less sensitive, while achieving ideal tune and accommodating a wider range of arrow diameters. The over centre capacity of these ultra stiff risers also facilitates the use of plunger buttons for those shooting disciplines that demand the ultimate in accuracy.
Customisation to meet the individual remit of the archer is readily available and a wide choice of exotic timbers are available to set the warmth and colour tone to meet the most discriminating archer. Woods in stock are Shedua, Bubinga, Honduras Walnut, Santos Rosewood, Indian Rosewood, Bocote, and Mulberry. Our range of engineered woods include Hertitage Midnight, Heritage Walnut and Heritage Cocobolo. In addition we can supply Mountain Camo. Other timbers can be arranged and mutually agreed on. Accent stripes are available in white, black and red at the selection of the archer.
Grips can be adjusted and customised to suit individual needs!
Inserts for stabilizers, sights etc. can be arranged to suit individual tastes and needs.
