More details...Due to 2 concepts we have stepped away from conventional thinking. Bow length is a compromise of limb length (mass) and overall bow length to give optimal cast. longer bows result in cleaner releases, but long bows result in sluggish performance. We have chosen to look at a super light mass limb construction, and the changes it makes to efficency, in that if the limb mass is 1/3 less than a glass limb, having 1" more limb is of NO consiquance to performance.
So, the downside of Long riser longbows, is the result is a short stacky limb, so to solve this stacky draw, is to look at the environment that modern World Archery and IFAA shoots are held in, and provide a bow that is optimised to have a good riser mass, as well as a good working limb length. The result is a bow that is 1 size longer than conventional. A 68" is for short draws, a 70" is for meduim draws and a 72" is for long draws. this is non-conventional due to the normal being 66", 68",70".
the reasons are better string angles, potentially more facial contact points on the face for a more consistant anchor, and a super smooth draw with a good solid riser mass for stability
