Black Douglas

Take Down Recurves from Border - bow lengths from 60" to 66"
The Black Douglas take-apart recurve offers the longest riser in the series and in the 64" and 66" bow lengths caters for those field archers with longer draw lengths.

The 60" and 62" versions work very well for shorter draw archers looking for a slightly longer bow for enhanced stability. Short, sharp acting limbs on a longer riser boosting overall performance. As with all of the Black Douglas series two riser formats are available. The Standard format has parallel contrasting inserts, the riser is made up from Shedua and Bubinga exotic timbers.

Black Douglas Super Risers
Super Black Douglas risers are available with a range of wood options such as Shedua and Indonesian Rosewood combinations as illustrated. Other timbers available are; Zebrano, Macasser Ebony, Santos Rosewood, Bubinga, Honduras Walnut and Bloodwood. Also available are the optional extras quiver inserts, buffalo horn overlays and finger grooves to name a few. The Super as illustrated has diverging contrasting centre section.

Check out the other risers shown in this section; the BD Swift and BD Ultra for other options and exotic wood looks.

For those looking to shoot lighter arrows then check out the CX riser option available on all Border bows.

As with all Border bows the risers are substantially reinforced with carbon and glass accentuating strips and the CX riser double these reinforcements.

Available in high, medium or low grip or the bow can be custom built to individual specification.

Please contact us and allow us to help guide you to a bow combination that will give you the ultimate in fit.
